If you look at the build sheet, you can match up all of these tags and stamp numbers with the corresponding boxes of the build sheet... pretty cool.

All of the heater hoses are original with the original clamps and control valve. The upper & lower rad hoses have been replaced.

The passenger's side outer T-3 is cracked... luckily I have some good spares. The two rear GR70-14 tires with the narrow white-wall and the spare in the trunk all matched and were all dated 1982 prior to the sizing number change.

Upper nose of front bumper was punched at one time and repair to right nose edge of hood. Paint was blended in to original paint on hood. Last reg sticker and original gas cap.

First GP I've owned with the funky plastic rear valance... of course its cracked and a chunk missing out of it. Anyone got a nice original metal one to sell?

Old CA NOX system emission decal.. it was basically a vacuum plug kit that disabled the vac advance. All glass is original.

Passenger side door panel is excellent, driver's has some very small cracking where you'd rest your elbow. Original mesh package tray is very nice, even for a non-tint glass car.

Tear in driver's seat back... hoping I can just have that section replaced between the beads.

Looking at an old smog station receipt dated 1/13/93 that I found in the glove box... the car has traveled 541 miles since then.

Black electrical tape wrapped around the column... maybe to protect it from one of those old spring registration card holders?

Driver's side door at rear center body line & front of quarter panel have some filler and are blended into original paint. Unsure if this was related to front damage or not?

Original white top is very nice, just a little dirty. White paint on top molding is flaking off... will need to strip and repaint them.

Unfortunately, the original spare tire was used and swapped out for a newer radial down the road. Jack setup is in nice shape, looks to have been used once or twice.

Original rear speaker there, but cover & retainer are missing. All four original spiral shocks in place. Right rear drum has rear axle ID tag (WT) and drum retainers still in place. The left rear drum had been off before, no retainers on that side. Left side had a small amount of brake dust, right side was loaded. I'm thinking these are the original rear shoes? They have some life left...

New tires and cleaned up wheels & trim. The original paint on the wheel faces are quite nice. The backs of the wheels came out great with just a light scrubbing with degreaser. You can see some spots of undercoating on the back sides from the original dealer undercoat. The original spare wheel cleaned up real nice, got a 5th matching tire for it. All 5 wheels have the same date code stamp.

Did a quick wash with brake clean on the rears. Found a tag on the left rear frame rail, but couldn't read anything on it. Front calipers are original, linings are getting low with a little life left. Had a friend hiding up above the left rear coil spring while looking at the rear brakes, luckily I saw her first! She didn't like PB Blaster... have found three so far, one was hiding behind the horn relay cover (sneaky) and another inside the fan shroud.

Got the trunk vacuumed out and the jack & spare back in place. New tires are on ready to cruise.
That's it for now... |
