Default Vacuum advance connection.

I have a 1970 carb with a 1968 intake. On previous cars, I hooked the vacuum advance to a connection at the base of the carb. This carb has no such connection. How do I get a vacuum signal to the distributor?

Somewhere on the carb or intake, you should have a vacuum port for full manifold vacuum. Post pics of all sides of both carb and intake. Do you have power brakes? If yes, they should be hooked up to full manifold vacuum. You can T off that port?

The steel fuel line into the Carb is so darn bent up and pinched off I would first be more concerned about fuel getting to the Carb then vacuum to the Dizzy!

It looks worse than it is!. Haha. It's just temporary. I have another on the way, but it takes forever to get here in the Great White North.

I run mine to manifold vacuum off the tree on the back of the throttle body for the brake booster. Works great. Great idle. Runs cool even sitting still at idle.

you could add it like the factory did it. the biggest challenge is getting the hole the base plate in the right place. needs to be right above the throttle blade. you'll need to make sure the throttle pates are set correctly before drilling.

You could easily install a hollow carb mounting stud as was used in earlier Pontiacs and get your distributor manifold vacuum source. A 5 minute job.

I use to have 10 of these on hand from junk yard hunt days.

I would send you one if I still had any.

So full manifold vacuum to the advance can on the dizzy? It's not hard to create that, but I thought that it was metered.
