What the hell is going on with the rear rails near the front leaf spring mounts? The passenger side looks boxed in with 1/8" plate and the driver side looks funky as well.

wow!
Apparently BAT is the new eBay, formerly Hemmings. All the issues aside, kudos to the seller for making a great listing with TONS of pictures, and everything a bidder might want to see ... warts and all!

Didn't the white 70 about 3 months ago sell somewhere around $80k?
BAT certainly has been kind to Trans Ams

For those that have personally sold a vehicle on BAT, what exactly was the fee? 349.00 or 5% of final sale amt? Read through search results & could not get a straight answer.

Sellers pay a $99 listing fee, with the option to add our Plus photo service for an additional $250. There are no other seller fees on BaT. Buyers pay a 5% fee on top of the final sale price to BaT, with a minimum of $250, and capped at $5,000. |

I would be careful with BAT. I submitted my 30th with a reserve and they wanted me to reduce it by $5,000. I already reduced it too. It was a real slap in the face. The car involved is a 1999 30th with 3,641 miles. Still smells new when the door is opened. Still has the plastic on the carpet from the factory.
Don't ask what I submitted as a reserve I'm not showing my hand. Just be careful with them. |

I submitted my '66 corvette a couple years ago. They said no more than 50k. I ended up selling on craigslist for 62k. I just submitted my '70 T/A for 60k.. We'll see what they say. I hadn't thought about selling.. But at those numbers.. I'd cut it loose.. Otherwise.. I'll keep it.. Hard car to replace.

I've seen this car up close, and it's a way better car than either of the two 70 TA's that sold recently on BAT.

BaT is a fickle beast. Yes, they dictate your reserve or they won't take the car. Admittedly, they do produce real qualified buyers. I recently listed my 76 TA 455 car. They wouldn't go beyond 37k reserve (they started with 32k). The car brought 50k.
