Thought I’d come back to update. I snuggled up the bolts on the timing chain cover and got 6 or 8 good heat cycles on the engine since adding the stop leak and the leaks appears to have…well, stopped. Coolant level in the reservoir has remained consistent. Never tried anything like that but I’m glad it worked. Time for fresh oil and another analysis at the end of the season. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the assistance.

There are only a few mechanic in a can potions I recommend, but Bars Leaks is one I have used in my personal cars, as well as customer cars. It won't fix a head gasket that has a 1/4 inch piece missing, but it will certainly stop a small seep internally, or exterenally.

If you've got a rotted radiator core, it's not going to repair it, but a stone nick in a tube will seal.

Glad the fix has worked..

Glad to know it worked! You probably had some tiny capillary leak in the timing cover - overall, no big deal and the perfect application for a stop leak product. I'd feel bad using one too, but even GM put in those stop leak pellets in brand new motors at the factory.

Post back up here once that oil analysis comes back! I'm curious.
