Default 1969 T/A clone

Saw this listed locally, I do not know anything about this car. However I would be happy to go look if someone is interested.

For that price you could get a REAL nice REAL 69 TA with a 4spd and the REAL hood!

in the ad it stated that 7 of the 8 convertibles still exist. I thought the 8th one was found back in 97 or 98 on the west coast of canada??

Default 69 TA clone:

He obviously doesn't know what he is talking about concerning the 8 real convertibles. They are all accounted for and have been for some time now.

Why on earth does making a clone of a 69 TA ragtop make it any more valuable than a 69 firebird ragtop. $80,000, a fraction of the unit that was bid up to $1.2 million at Mecum? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I think it was actually 1.1 million so says the MECUM site and wasnt that bid started out by Mecum?

Looks nice but dont think it would happen this day and time.

I think that bid was run up by Mecum just below reserve in an attempt to stimulate real bids.
