I had a solid roller made in 2008 for $500. All i did was send the stock cam out so the firing order could be duplicated. Two weeks later i was putting it in the motor.

You just have to be willing to spend the money. It stinks i know, but i'm glad i did it.

The motor made 450hp to the wheels @ 15 lbs of boost!

Tom, An engine builder told me he could use a V8 blank and just cut the lobes he needs. Any truth to that? Also, Is the distributor gear on V8 cam blanks the same as 4 cyl cam blanks?

What Tom was talking about before is having a V8 core ground for a 195. Only know of V8 roller cores being available. Best to check with manufacturers directly for availability. Dist and cam gears are the same in 195s and V8s.

Wait till i turn up the boost to 25-30!

Yes that was to the wheels.

It should make over 700 between 24-26 lbs of boost...

I'll let you know what it makes when it turn it up...

The funny thing is when you beat a big block chevy in a chevelle or camaro, they really can't seem to handle it too well when they find out its a 4 cyl.... AND a pontiac no less Lol...

Yes it is. You just have to make sure its a round lob blank so the timing order can be ground in. its a 1342 firing order.

I'm using a v8 dist in mine so the gear is the same. You just have to break off every other reluctor.

No problems. But 15 lbs is not that much. I'll let you know when i hit it with 30 lbs. Lol!

I'm going up slow. Next is 20lbs then 25lbs and from there i'll see if i want to go any further.

I really do want to see what it will make.

One thing i left out is when i dynoed it , it wouldnt even idle . I had to pedal it just keep it running. I found out later that both valves were leaking bad on #3 cylinder. When i pulled the plug wire it didn't change the idle at all. So with this tune there is still more in it..
