Default 61 215 Tempest on ebay

Well,,,,Its back!!! This is the same red 215 61 Tempest car that was listed on Craigs List a while back. There was quite a bit of interest in it. I even went & took a bunch of pictures of it for a member here. I got an email & text from the owner today asking if I still had the pictures I took a while back. Dont know what his reserve is but its probably at about 1500 above what anyone was willing to pay for it the last time it was listed.

Here is the ebay listing,,

Here are the pictures I took to refresh everyones memory!!

I'm coming through in a couple days. Maybe I'll flash some green and see if he's still married to it.

Good luck with that 63! I think I was high bidder last time and I was still 2k under his min. price. He's watch too many TV show and BJ auctions. He thinks any old car is "rare" and should be worth what the guys with car show's on TV get for thiers. I wish him luck and left my number.

Keith, you have seen the car and if its a factory original 215, what do you think its worth in its current condition? The V8 options are the more rare versions of these cars.

I've been around and around with this guy and the previous owner. I had the previous owner down to a reasonable price before this clown parachutes in and pays the asking price. Now, after realizing the project is over his head, he wants his money back. I tried buying the car off the new owner as well and that went the same direction as your attempt. Maybe now an offer of cash under his nose will do the trick.

I look at it this way, its a true 1961 numbers matching 2 door 215 motor car. Only 2004 61's had the 215 motor. Its a 2 door, so late model year production. No exact known numbers. Pretty rare little car. It does need a lot of work. Will take a lot of time & $$$$ to restore, but if done correctly, will probably be the only one out there. As it sits, if nothing has changed since the pics were taken, I would think its worth in the $2500 dollar range, give or take.

If someone from here is bidding on it let me know, otherwise I might bid once and see what happens!

That's about the most pathetic ebay ad for a car a person could write.

A one sentence description and zero pictures. If it wasn't for Keith's pictures no one would have a clue what he is trying to sell.

I re-sent him the pictures last week. Wonder why he didnt ammend the Ebay listing & add the pictures? Since I posted them, there has been over 100 visits/views to that Photobucket page.

I just got this little tidbit. His son primered the car with rattle cans.

I don't know how bad, but I have to guess he got it onto more than just body panels.

When I saw it, primer was only on the trunk & left quarter.

"he sprayed a coat of primer using cans" is what Bubba Cobble Sr said. I took that to mean the entire car. I seem to remember the primer shown in your pictures being there when I first talked to the previous owner.
