another "pontiac collector" like him? Didn't he jump the deal you had with the original NM seller? The car will be back on the market soon with another loon trying to get his investment back!

Don't trust the words of anyone who uses spelling and grammar as he does...

I'll say one other thing about that car. If it were a factory 215 3 spd I would have not hesitated.

Didn't one of those sell on ebay about 6 years ago? I seem to remember a thread on here about it...

edit: Disregard. That too was an auto car.

1 4spd 3 3spd if production numbers are right. somewhere theres a storage room full of manual bellhousing. I've even tried a late model MG and they can be made to work. Its just alot of cut and paste for my taste! For what its worth, there is a 62 coupe in the Portland OR. area that is a true 215 V8 3 spd. It is on the road and very drivable and has never been touch. Chuck (hootsk) told me about this car in 2011. He would not tell me the owners name or any contact information. He has been trying to buy it for years. He was allowed to look at and make some dwg of the bellhousing. Thats how he was able to make workable manual bellhousing out of a automatic one.

The "nail head" valve covers makes it a Buick and not an Olds?

No Jay, its not mine, it belongs to a close friend of mine. It came out of a 61 4 door Tempest I believe, so its a Pontiac motor. He would like to see it go back into a Tempest.

Thanks Gary, and JFV, I think those v-covers are correct for 61-62 Pontiac 215-V8's but they should be Pontiac Blue.
