Mark, do you mean a WS6 79 TA? I've never heard of a WS7.

Suspension:
This T/A came factory equipped with the WS7 (RPO WS7) suspension package. In 1979 all Trans Am's that were factory equipped with the WS6 suspension were also equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes, an upgrade from the '78 WS6 disc/drum package; but the 1979 T/A was so popular that Pontiac ran out of rear disc brake axles at one point and substituted them with the original previous WS6 rear drum brake axles and labeled it as "RPO WS7". You'll notice the "ws7" on the build sheet. |
