Default 1965 2+2 Catalina 421/4spd/Tri-Power Convertible Very Rare

Selling a 1965 2+2 Catalina 421/4spd/Tri-Power Convertible. Estimated less than 200 built. All original drivetrain front to back. Car has the following options: 8 Lug wheels, tachometer, 3.55 Safe-T-Track rear end, rear trunk light, console was to be added by me and goes with the car. The car has filler in it and is a frame off project, but everything for the car is here. The motor was apparently rebuilt 20 years + ago and put on a stand, but it should be gone through as it has sat for along time. There are receipts for the engine work. It is complete, carbs to pan. The rear quarters will need lower patches on both sides probably in front of and behind the rear wheel. The rockers appear to have filler in them as well and the doors do not have the crisp pinch welds in the corners, so those have filler in them as well. I have the original set of fenders, as well as a good set of donor fenders that go with the car. The rear tail panel piece has been restored and is absolutely gorgeous ($$$$). Alot of the chrome was rechromed many years ago, but it was not stored properly and will have to be done again for a car of this pedigree, but it is all solid and all there. Surprisingly the floor pan and trunk pan are in good shape and will not need replacement. The trunk lid and the hood are also in good shape, as well as the core support. The car does need a frame in my opinion. I have not had the body off the car, so it may be able to be fixed but I can see a few holes in it just looking underneath the car. They are available for about $600-800. This car is very valuable done and I'm aware of the costs of restorations. Is it worth what you'll have in it if you have it done at a resto shop? No! But if you are able to do it yourself, then there is plenty left when you're finished. Or maybe you just want to have one for yourself and have a big wallet, either way, it needs to find a new home as I have one more frame off in me and it's for MY car. I'm asking 20K or best offer and can be reached at 216-392-2909 with any questions. Thanks

You have quite a collection of parts for that car along with the car itself. I have a friend who has been looking for a 65-66 2+2 for quite a while, so I have a few specific questions. Thank you in advance for the responses. 1. The block code is for a 421-356HP non-HO engine. Is that correct? 2. The transmission pictured is an iron case unit and not a long tailshaft Muncie which would be the correct transmission for this car as a 4-speed. Is the one pictured a 3-speed or some other type of spare? I really couldn't tell what it was from the angle of the picture. 3. You mentioned the car comes with a console to be added? So was the car originally an auto on the column or a manual without a console? 4. There is no mention if the car has a top and if it does, what condition the top, hydraulics, and all the mechanical's are in. Finally, do you have the PHS documentation so all of this kind of stuff can be sorted out? Looks like the car has allot of potential. Thank you.

As mgarblik pointed out there seems to be some discrepancies on what I have in the ad and what appears in the pictures. I did not get a PHS with the car, but have ordered one via email today. As soon as I have it in hand, I will update the ad. I tried to go into the ad and edit it but for some reason couldn't. Sorry for any confusion. Stay tuned.

Default 65 2+2

I got the PHS today. It is verified that it is indeed a 2+2, 421, Tri-Power, 4 spd convertible. Attached is the PHS. I do not however have the original trans for it. Thanks for looking.
