69 Grand Prix in Oregon at $3500 NR. Has a passenger seat recliner, which I didn't know was an option. Claims to have 51K miles and a 428.

Really like these SJ units, next to my my FB, I could take one easily.
The 428 makes it all the better.
I could drive to Gresham in about 10 minutes where it’s for sale.
Think I have three “”WF” carbs that would fit this 428 car.

Is it just me but that air cleaner has some unusual positioned snorkels on it.

69 Firebird in SF at $17K BIN OBO. The stance is off, but it's priced about right. 350 auto. Prolly rust free too.

Nice...red on red 400. He doesn't mention any of the missing parts... Front clip, engine... Kinda important when determining value.

78 T/A in Michigan with supposedly 87K on the clock. A sad tale of how it wound up for sale, but a reasonable BIN of $8K. YX block could be a 400 or 455, but not a 78 block.

69 Firebird convert 400 4-speed frame off. $100 NR in Nevada. Why would anyone put finned valve covers on this car?

That 69 GP was great value. I noticed that cars in the north west tend to go cheap, shipping back east is slow and expensive from there.

I spoke to the dealer about that gold fbird, dealer was rather evasive. says its a real 400 4spd but no documents, no knowledge of what extent of resto work was done or any history.

I've noticed some nice survivor type cars pop up out of the NW too...especially Washington state. Might be a misconception based on coincidence but seems like good hunting ground.
I kind of like the finned valve covers on the gold bird. I wouldn't go out of my way to do it but they don't hurt it at all in my opinion.... Nice car.

I like that color a lot. Wasn't one of your 69 convertibles gold or champagne?

The car looks spotless. May not be perfect correct, but it is exceptionally clean looking.

As to the finned covers, I like them, but maybe it's like this one white weed in a field of flowers?

I dig that Firebird. Don't mind the valve covers too much, they look like Cal Custom. At any rate, pretty easy item to swap on an otherwise sharp car.

I like it too, but if the valve covers and T/A wing were changed, it would look Ram Air bone stock. I love bone stock, unless it's a modified car. Just say'in if this were my car, it would have no wing and chromies on the engine.

It's funny, I keep saying if I find the right car I'll move on from my '68 but more often than not it's little things like this that make me say "not yet". Realistically, they're pretty easy things to fix. I don't have a negative reaction to the T/A spoiler, which is funny, because I do when I see a '68-/69 GTO with a Judge spoiler when it's not supposed to have one.
