Personally, I'd take the VW over the Corvette. Preferably with 79 WS6 rims. Of which I have 8 of them.

I wish Pontiac would have made as 2 door G8. Some of us think that design is better than a certain German make.

Further proof that social media warps the mind.

Try the non-suicidal approach. Look at the effect the second Gen Firebirds have had on multiple generations? People are willing to ANYTHING to get that look and feel back. Even though 99.9% of the things they are doing makes us want to vomit, it's an interesting social statement.

I was thinking the same thing. One of the most popular cars ever made. To this day, people, even young people, love them. The last time I had my car out I had this younger guy yell out to us "I love your car man!!" Of course, I don't have a hood bird, but still, people love these cars. The fact that after all these years, people put hood birds on all these other cars is high praise. I'll take it.

The other thing that strikes me about the early second gen cars is even the lowest models look good. A plain Jane, inline 6, no optioned car still is a good looking car with a nice dash and nice seats and the same endura front end as a top line Trans Am. Can't say the same for a base Camaro. They look cheap and incomplete to me. Z28 is a nice car.
