Was also initially thinking a storage problem, but doesn't it look like the associated chamber in Post 1, Photo 4 looks like it has been stripped of the soot that the adjacent chamber shows? Steam cleaned while running and then left to age after heads were pulled?

Those so called bliggers near the side of the valve guide are just the casting imperfections, and I have seen far worse then that !!

Good Craftsmanship with the chamber grinding. Wonder how they look after cooking and shot-peen?

I have ground down those chamber brows for the purpose of unshrouding to improve dry-flow. "Performance" has been good but a mysterious pig-rich carbon might be a consequence. The image shows a step at the sealing surface, which i have blended moreso at the SIDES to improve side flow.

Would be a 1st to see such a factory chamber-mod, so upsidedown Cast number might indicate such.
