Default Dipstick Non A/C 75 455 Firebird Stock pan - Oil Pump

I need a non A/C dipstick. Really just the stick.

Motor is a early 75 455
Melling Oil pump - Stock pan

I have the lower and middle tube.
Car has A/C but I'm going to assemble the motor without the AC on it for now.
The dipstick and tube I have need the compressor bracket..

One of the few things left that I need...

Both types of dipstick (AC and non-AC) are still available new from the GM dealer. GmPartsDirect.com is one possible source. I don't have the part number in front of me, but I can get it tonight. I think it runs like $15 or less.

Very Much Appreciate the great help.

I should be embarrassed 'cause I guess I could have searched and probably found the Dip Stick part number somewhere. But not as quickly as you did. And I always assume these kinds of things are not available any longer.. And without the part number gmpartsdirect wasnt where I was gonna look..

Long Story Short, I love this forum and the help of guys like you!

Pleasure. I feel the same way you do. Always great help when I need it and lots of old topics to search through, too. I double checked that part number last night and it did look correct against the 1971 assembly manual. I think the same stick applies to 1968-1974 at least. Well, at least according to this eBay ad, which is another source, but you know where they are getting these (says More than 10 available)

I double-checked the online parts lookup on this forum and that part number does look good for 1968-1979, so you should be fine with 1975 455
