Default Floor mat question

Last weekend I picked up a set of floor mats that I hadn’t seen before. They have the GM logo on them and are for 1975-1981 Firebirds. Any thoughts?

Try to find a nOS set for your car in your color
The lager ones are shaped diff than factory. Ames made some generic ones or was or perf years.

They have the GM logo, so they were GM authorized at least.

I would guess the GM logo is an authorization for whom ever made them to be able to use the Trans Am name and logo. GM authorized but I doubt they were available as an option on a trans am, hence aftermarket.

The original mats were an option that were made by Rubber Queen. These mats are still available in all of the interior colors and are still made by them and sold by all of the restoration parts suppliers. I remember back in the 80s these same mats were sold at retailers like K-Mart but without the GM logo.

Colors are off though, take just camel its way off, compared next to a nOS set, it looks goofy , I bought a set fir daily use, looks so bad I sold them in Dayton,
I guess it goes nice with the goofy corduroy seat covers that people put in their cars.

The Carmine Red is an identical match compared to the ones that came with my car.

I haven't put them in one of my cars yet. Maybe I will use them in the 10th as the original gray mats are turning brownish yellow.
