True story... Will post pics if I can get near the car! There is a 69 RAIV 4 speed Judge rotting away in a field "round" my hometown. Been there for at least 15 years that I can remember. Guy bought the car new as a teenager, blew the motor and it now has a no-code service replacement block in it. Last I checked, the carb had been stolen back in the 90's and the rear end had been removed. I work with the owner of the car and he will not sell it, saying he's gonna' fix 'er up. I've asked a 1000 times, I don't think he knows what it is worth, but I've offered him crazy money for it.

I dont understand why people who have these wouldnt construct a cheap pole barn to protect the cars from further rust. That also keeps you out of trouble with the law for eyesore complaints. It keeps the wife from complaining also....

Cool Barn Find

This is a 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR. 428 auto drag pack 4.56 locker. Factory black paint, black interior. 51K miles, 3rd owner. Stored in a barn since 1981.

We've been trying to buy it for a year. Not sure if it will happen but will keep trying. There is no rust on the car as owner put down sawdust and plastic before parking car. Would be a great car to restore as they only made 331 of them like this.

That GT500 is worth a tremendous amout of money. My friend still has his that he bought new, black on black just the like the one you are after but Tom's is a four speed car, he had a red one also since 1970 but sold that one back in 92. Them cars are worth crazy money, serious amounts in my opinion even more than a Ram Air IV or SD Trans Am.

Default a bird, a goat, and a boat

Theres a 67/68 bird close to my house that has been setting for atleats 15 years in a garage. The garage has no door on it and the car can be seen if you look for it. Its got cradboard boxes stacked on it, will try and get a quick pic this week. I asked a lady in the backyard one day about it, it belongs to the landlords son and its not for sale.....

Theres also a 69 GTO close by that is red/red with a 4 speed, has a Judge wing on it, and I have tried several times to buy it. The guy says its his sons and he wished hed do something with it, I have offered decent $$ for the car but never get a return call.

Then theres the 61 SD Catalina Ventura.....I came acrossed this car back when I was getting my car inspected. The guy bought it new, claimed it was a SD 389, drag raced it in the early 60s at US 30 in York. I got the vin PHS'd it, it is a 389 4spd posi 8 lug car, but no SD info, owner had parts installed at dealer that he said were in trunk. He also said it was never painted, and its black over red, but PHS says its white over red, maybe a dealer repaint. He has a 61 4spd Bonnie for parts, but wont come off of it, I call atleast 2 times a year.

I know of a 68-69 Lemans that was purchased in AZ in the early 80s driven to MI then parked. It is my sisters best friends brother.(neighbor growing up) I remember when he brought it home the gas tank straps where still shiny. It is still in his garage.
maybe he will sell it to me.

4 k will buy this one. 67 merc park lane covert. originally midnight blue metallic. 428 super maurader with 3k miles on it+/-, auto tranny, disc brakes, bench seat, with full options. it's the best mercury luxo 'vert you could buy in 67.

this is a pretty solid old mercury that had 1 repaint in the 70's.[ from what i can tell it was rubbed on 1 1/4 panel. there's some minor rust in the 1/4's but that's it.

it's owner died and none of the boys want it. it's shame because it'd make a super nice car.

i've got too many as it is.

Unfortunately the Shelby seems to be slipping away from us. The guy who has the lead and the info does not seem willing or able or both to complete this deal. My partner and I have the money waiting for our half but it has been way too long now. Over a year since this first came up. I'd like to buy a RAIV Judge that I have a lead on but was hoping to parlay the profits from the Shelby deal into the Judge. Seems like only a 10% chance this deal will ever get done now in my mind. At least I got the pictures of the car.

I been using the same junk yard for old Pontiac parts for over twenty years. About two years ago they sold the property and moved a bit closer to me. Not as many old cars but still some 60's Pontiac big cars from time to time. Because I have been well known buy they for so long when a neat Pontiac comes in and I stop by they let me have a look at it. This is not a pick it yourself yard, so spending time on my own is nice. In the last two years, I seen a nice (needed right fender T37 get picked apart by the yard to sell parts. As well as few older F body cars. On the other hand in that same time I went in the shed that they stick all the heads in and I got a set of 12's, a single 96, a set of 96's and some 6X's. Prices are better than fair to me. However, I've also seen a beautiful 74 big wagon with a 455 that ran nice, looked good, and so on sit as a none seller just to have it continue to get wet inside because a window wont roll up. Now, the rust is eating it.

Years ago, I pulled many parts from first gen birds and kept a bunch of nice emblyems and stuff. Never even looked at an A body Pontiac unless it was a 66 or 67 GTO. Pasted up and by, many nice Tempest, Lemans, and later cars. Back when I thought they would always have a sorce of these things. Stil enjoy going and looking around. A while ago I posted a few times about a couple of B bodies with 421 only intakes and carbs, but engines seemd to be normal 389's. Never did understand why it was that way, and last I knew a couple months ago cars were still there. Good day all.
