It was blue when I bought it. Was originally Granada gold, yuck. Painted it a beautiful deep red much like Cardinal red. Everybody loves it at the shows and so do I.

70 LeMans Sport Convertible:

White or Gold body color
Sandalwood dash, door panels and seats
Black carpet, steering wheel and dash
Black top

I might do cloth inserts for the seats and a wood "sport" steering wheel.

It was originally gold.

Didn't even think twice about changing the color. Of course how can you go wrong with a regimental red convertable.

My 67 GTO was signet gold with a black top and black interior. It did look nice.
I painted it Torch Red ( brightest I could find ), with a white top and parchment interior.
The car is awesome now.
It's the dream car I alway's wanted as I was saving up for all those years. It's what I wanted.
Parchment interior rules... hands down.
Are you painting it for someone else? It's your car..
I do like the variety of colors at show's.
If it's resale red... Doesn't that mean it will sell better than all the other colors?

As long as you don't change the color to red, you will be OK.

My 67 was originally signet gold with black vinyl top and black interior. Never been to crazy about that color. When I stripped it down I found a god awful purple and then a blue. Had a regimental red 67 in my youth and that is what will probably go on it.

My 65 GTO convertible was born with the rare Tiger Gold promo color, and that's what she will have when the current frame-off restoration is finished.

"Fathom Turquoise" Ditzler #13331 was a special order color for Pontiac only, in 1966.

My '67 was painted in Mayfair Maize with a black Vinyl roof/interior(Body paint code 1-2).
As far as I have seen the car was painted that way from the factory. I also found when cleaning the dirt and such off the firewall that someone had written in white crayon the word "SPEC". I assume it is because of the paint as there isn't anything else really special about the car.
I'm leaving it in the same color. I really like that color combination.

Most of the repies seem right on the money. I also am having a hard time deciding on whether to keep my 69 LeMans ragtop the "original Maifair Maize (yellow) or go with a modern silver that I think would look great. I bought a model that I will first paint the new silver, then I will repaint it Maifair with a black, then a white top. It will be a cheap way to help me make the color decision. I don't plan on ever selling the car, so resale isn't a player in this. Good luck.

Thanks for the info PHNTMJDG. I've looked with no luck. You wouldn't have or know how I can get a look at the color. Is your Judge painted that color??

Thanks again,
Anthony

www.autocolorlibrary.com has images of the color chip cards, but in order to really see the color you need to see an actual chip.
There will sometimes be one on e-bay that you can get for about $10-15 if you're lucky, if you don't have someone local that has one, I'd go that route. Or you can get the 2-oz touch up bottle from PPG and paint something with it!
No, my Judge is not painted that color, read my sig!

My 68 convertible is resale red. I'm thinkin' it will go back to the original Springmist Green. I saw enough under the interior to know I can live with that color.

I painted my 66 black, only because it came that way. Black looks awesome when it's clean, but keeping it that way is a losing battle. It shows everything, as i'm sure anyone with any of the darker colors will tell you!
