Question 1970 GTO

Hey, what do you guys make of this? This is its 3rd appearance without anyone coming close to the seemingly ridiculous price and lack of anything unique warranting big money.

I know its not a Judge, but this forum seems to provide some pretty good insight on general weirdness of things on Ebay.

BTW, My car looks just like it but is a 4 speed, I'll take 1/2 the asking price....

The seller bought it BJ and now has to dump it. The truth hurts but it's worth about $20k, not the $60k that he wants.

You think this guy would get the picture since three auctions have failed to generate much action over 25k. Crazy.....

Yep, idiot got suckered by, not BJ, but Mecum. Same type of auction inflate-o-price nonsense.
The guy will soon get an education into collector vehicle economics...

I dunno...I think it is probably a 30-35K car if it is complete numbers matching, built just like it appears, compared to others these days...He should post the PHS...If it was a RAM III, what would it be worth....A IV?....DW

They want 50K for a black '69 Chevelle SS at the Imperial Palace in Vegas, similar car....

Line em up for 20k, I'll take every one of them. I don't think he'll get 60k for the car, but it's worth a lot more than 20k, shoot I'm sure the resto alone cost more than 20k.

I don’t disagree that it is worth more then 20k but at the same time how much you spend on restoration has little to do with it, He could have spent 50k on the resto it doesn't make the car worth 50k.

I would bet to the right buyer this car would bring 35K all day long. As a RA III car I would say 50K would be the number but as we all know, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay...

Cool

I'm sure you knew what I meant, I surely didn't mean that just because you put 50k into a resto, your car is now worth 50k. I hope you would agree you can't do a resto of that quality for much under 20k, that's why I said what I said. I stand by my statement, line em up I'll take em all for 20k, and unless you're in the middle of a resto like I am I wouldn't expect you to have an idea of the cost involved in such a process.

Stefan.
