Question 1970 12 bolt

Does anybody know what the correct pinion yolk is for the 70 12 bolt c-clip axle? Is it a outside snap ring style and does it use u-bolts or straps?

I can't believe no one has answered you yet. Maybe, they don't understand what you're looking for, me included. I believe all GTOs, for '70, used U-bolt u-joint retainers and were inner clip u-joint units.

Also, rear ends have yokes.
Eggs are the only thing that have yolks...

Sorry- I see so many people refer to that part as a "yolk", it makes me cringe every time I see it.
And yes, the retaining fasteners are U-bolts and nuts.

Original '70-72 455 12 bolts had pinion yoke AKA pinion flange that used the BOP 3R u-joint. Chevelle 12 bolts used the smaller Spicer 1310 u-joint. There were other differences as well.

Chevelle 12 bolts used the smaller Spicer 1310 u-joint. There were other differences as well. The original 12 bolts in my HO cars all were made by McKinion in Canada.
