Default 1970 Judge...

Hi all, Its been a while since I've been here. I've been out of the game since I sold me last 70 (divorce) but I just picked up a PHS/build sheet document 70 Judge, and I'm pretty sure I might have paid too much but I've been out the market for a few years so I'm hoping you guys can give me some opinions.

Its a really clean car and the body and current paint are really clean, appears all original sheet metal no visible rust bubbles and magnet sticks all around. The interior is good, no rips, just dirty.

Runs and drives nice.

Other info:
Built in Fremont/10E
Original Color Granada Gold/Sandlewood - Currently not a Pontiac Blue??/Sandlewood
Currently has 68 XX block and 68 M20
Has original #12 heads (based on when they were cast) and the 7040273 carb is long gone as well as exhaust manifolds
Believe rear end is correct 9799202 (269 day or 69). Spins a 3:55 posi which is what is on the build sheet but I haven't sanded the tube yet for codes.
Has original Ram Air hood, flappers and pans.

It had been sitting since 09 in a garage and the person that owned it since 01 was selling it because of financial issues.

Opinions...what's this car worth? Not going to be offended I'm planning on keeping it as a driver/hobby.

Thanks! Paul

no idea, Paul, on value without a ton of pics. Fwiw, there's 70 WS block on eBay. Appears to have a P as plant code. Have fun with the Judge!

Well said Roger. Each car has it's own value. To compare all is just dart throwing.

My guess that since it's bought already. The buyers remorse has set in. Happens a lot today...

Not really buyers remorse...I love the car. Just wanted some opinions on whether I made a score or paid all the money. End of the day, it's only worth what someone is willing to give you for it. I paid 25, which I felt was all the money... but I've been out of this make since 06

25K is fair market value for the car as described. Nice in the pic. Wrong engine, wrong color. Original color is not considered a desirable color (I also have a GG 70). Certainly not a score, but you didn't take a bath either.

Nice find Paul. Welcome back. I think you answered your own question with your statement. What difference does it make? You are keeping it as a driver/hobby car, so relax and enjoy your purchase. Hard to tell what you have there based off the tiny photo, but it certainly looks nice. If it runs well and is really a Judge, and you just plan to enjoy the car, you did fine IMHO. I paid a similar price for mine, but it does have the original numbers-matching driveline and is a 4-speed car with A/C and power windows. Problem for me is mine was also originally GG with Sandalwood interior, plus previous owner painted it yellow. I've since taken it for body-off restoration and am changing it to Polar White. I've already spent more on the resto than I did on the car, I'm sure I'll never get that money back. It is what it is.

At the end of the day, it's YOUR car, and as long as you are happy, what the hell... Enjoy man!
