Default 7029268 Dated August 68

Looking for a 7029268 carb dated that is dated early - mid August 1968.
Consider up to end August 68.
My car is build date of Oct 4/68

I do have a 7029268 if someone wants to trade.
If recall dated March 1969. But can check for sure.

Thanks Dave

Some reason cannot edit original post. I have 268 date stamped 0049 and another 268 date stamp C9.
Also stamped WF (Not 100% sure now on this letter code meaning?)

Bob, see what you can dig up for me for date carb.

Rocky, pm sent back.

Thanx Dave

Possible Date Codes:

0049 = 4th day of 1969, typical date code format of Q-Jets manufactured by Rochester

C9 = March 1969? Made by Carter? Some 1969 and 1970 Q-Jets were made by Carter.

Rocco,
I believe from what I have recently researched you are exactly right.
Rochester could not keep up with production in 69 and into 70 and had Cater building them also.
Looks like Carter manufactured carbs got letter number and the Rochster carbs got the julian date of all numbers.

So yes the one is exact date of Jan 4 1969.
The other is just March 1969.

Thanks for your input appreciate it very much.

Don't see a date code on this, guess you could make it whatever you want. Here are some pics.
