Default CORRECT 1967 Firebird upper clutch pedal pushrod?

I'm new to the Ames Community . I have a 1967 Firebird 400 and sourcing parts for a 4-speed conversion. It is my understanding the 1967 Firebird upper clutch pedal pushrod is not the same as the 1968-1969 Firebird? I understand the 1967 is shorter ,so using the 1968-1969 will place the pedal higher? (Ames FR721 is 11 3/4" for 68-69) Can someone clear this matter up .I would appreciate any help.
