Who Has Gotten Their 2nd Run Tri-y's?
I have been waiting for 1 year and 9 months. I have only heard from Ron about a half a dozen times in that period. I saw a few months ago where a couple of guys were supposed to get their headers. Only one of those guys confirmed on this forum that they did get them. Who all has ordered them the SECOND GO AROUND and gotten them?

I don't know if I ordered mine on the 2nd run or not, but I've been waiting since payment was made on Sept. 9, 2005.

I got mine in August. They were paid for in February of 2005.
They are real nice but not the thing to get if you're in a hurry.

I'm on the second run...paid Feb/2005 and seen/heard nothing from Ron for more than a year now. Only link to what's going on...as limited as that may be...is from the merry band on this board.
Is anyone still able to converse with Ron? |

Since goatless has his, Mike should have his too since he payed at the same time. It's unfortunate that he is taking so long to get these produced. I could see up to 6 months if he had alot of orders but nearly 2 years... Again that's unfortunate.

Is he out of business? His web-page is down now (about two weeks ago it went down and is still that way) and I had left about a dozen messages on his phone number w/no reply.
Had talked to the guy once about getting some, said if ordered that day, the turn around was two weeks. |

Well Brett_ty, I wish I would have been as smart as you and not hopped on board. I guess I am in the market for headers again now. I am looking at the Mad Dogs. I was supposed to have mine in four weeks. Ron must be thinking he can make them faster now than what he thought he could make them when I sent him my $700.

In an effort to help you guys, I am trying to get ahold of Ron to find out whats going on!
He has my original set of Tri-Y's so in a way I am just concerned as many of you, even though I'm not out any cash. I was on board with Ron since the inception of the headers and he talks to me often. If I find out ANY information I will let y'all know.

Last e-mail i received from Ron, approx six weeks ago he said he had found a job and was working full time like most of us. He said he was doing the headers on the side.

That is good to hear that he found a job. Hopefully with some money coming in, he will be able to get this deal finished one day, and still possibly make something out of his business eventually. That is unless the bank already came and got the bender and the welders.

Larry, did you ever get up with Ron? I have left a few messages and got nothing, but that is normal.

Gearbanger, move on. Life is too short to wait for something that isn't going to happen in your life.

I'd like to move on, but I'd also like my $720+ or my headers...

It's obvious I'm not getting mine now.
I was getting these because they were supposed to be good for low end torque. Is there another header I can get that will do? I'm doing a stroker 400/462, 2.5" exhaust w/x-pipe, performer, Holley 750, XR264HR compcam, 1.5 Magnum roller tip, 9:1 compression, 6X-8, 1.77 ex valve, crossover filled and home ported. I've been waiting almost 2 years and you're right; it's time to get on with life. I've seen the Dougs and they look nice, but do they make a tri-y? '69 LeMans 4speed convert by the way. Looking for low end grunt. |

You guys have been way too patient and I probably would have NOT been for less than that. I don't have money invested but if I can't get in touch with him, I am out of a set of original tri-y's that I loaned to him to get this project started. Something must be terribly wrong as he is usually calling me or emailing me about issues on the header production. I have many folks emailing me with questions about Rons whereabouts and all I can do is hope that he comes through and answers his customers. He has had some health issues over this in the past and seriously wonder if it has finally taken its toll. I truly hope this isn't the case. I will continue to probe into his whereabouts and let you all know if I find out anything.

Dude you're not going to have to worry about torque, that motor will pull stumps out of the ground. I would say just by looking at your combo that a set of Doug's would suit you perfectly. They are probably going to fit and function a little better than any of the others. Now if you have monster ported heads and were going to spin it up to 6500 or more, I'd say you probably needed to find some bigger tubes. But I would probably go with Doug's for your combo.

Larry, thanks for helping us all out. I hope that you get your original's back.
Does anyone else know how to get in touch with Ron? Thanks,

Here's another good one, I sent him a few private messages in the last year. I was cleaning out my private message box earlier and was noticing that he has read every one of them, he just won't reply. That is not "too busy" that is being an @ss.
73ta, I am moving on I guess. I'm getting ready to order some 2" headers from Mad Dog. Seems like alot of guys are doing really well with my HP level with bigger headers. If I ever get those tri-ys, I guess I'll have them for sale. |
