I ran into something very similar a few years back when I owned a 1964 Thunderbird. Chevrolet designs from the early 60s found their way to the 64/66 Thunderbirds. The middle row pictures look like a 63 Chevy from the rear, but the similarity to the 64-65 T-Birds is amazing.
The explanation I heard was design people tended to move around a lot, and their ideas and designs, unless purchased and used by the car companies tended to move around with them. |
