That’s going to be a pretty decent ride. Interior is like an 8/10.

The lifter valley is astonishingly clean for a 1960's car over 100K, and taken off the road before synthetic oil was common. You might think it was re-built before it got parked, but the (engine) exterior shows a lot of grime over mostly weathered and burned off paint. Plus, the transmission is caked in sludge and apparently slipping or not upshifting properly.
Seems the owner had the engine oil changed very frequently but neglected the transmission? Or perhaps the valve covers leaked so badly that the continuous adding of fresh oil kept the internals free of sludge. Engine pops and backfires under load, so there might be more valve train issues on the driver's side. It's pretty amazing that there is scarcely any rodent damage inside that car. There must either be a history of cats around that barn or lots of snakes have their burroughs under the dirt floor where it was parked. |
