Default Holley TBI 950 Commander EFI

all this talk about EFi has me wanting...but im on a budget as usual and looking at installing the 900 CFM version of Holleys TBI. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I did a search and found some info but i still have some questions...

is this something that can be used with a blow thru setup?...Using a like a CSU hat with a spacer? Or will the incoming air entering laterally (from one side) cause problems with the the way the fuel is sprayed into the incoming air?

as for the needed fuel pressure rise as the boost comes in...does the 2 or 3 bar MAP sensor simply handle that or will i need to get a boost regulated fuel pressure regulator..and if so which one? the TBI fuel pressures seem to fall right inbetween a carb and multiport EFI so the carb fuel pressure regulator seems a little too low and the MPFI seems too high.

How important is spark control? will my current setup work (mallory magnetic pickup with a MSD box http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku )

any other info would be greatly appreciated ... SkipFix, i understand that the wideband O2 sensor upgrade would be a good investment

You'd be better off converting to a MPFI system.

If you just want to learn efi, buy a USED Holley setup. There is always some available as it seems most folks go back to a carb after they have some fun with the efi.

Another popular option for low cost fuel injection.

ive seen posts about the megasquirt system but to be honest im a little bit intimidated by them and the idea of piecing together the rest of the system.

Not meant to be discouraging! but when all is said and done and you have had a good time learning to tune and its running smoothly and powerfully, folks ask themselves, "why do I want that crap on an old muscle car?" and the qjet goes back on and it starts the same, idles the same, topends the same and it was all fun so now its ebay time so someone else can have some fun. LOL
