Default Service to fix remote mirrors?

Hi all,

Anyone know of a business that services remote mirrors? e.g. replace cables, etc whatever needed to get those working?

Thanks!

I can tell you who NOT to use doing any mirror work.
Potmetal Restorations of Fla.

I sent them 2 housings to rechrome and told them to pick the one they thought was the best to start with.
Rather than fill the pits and replate they just kept it in the copper tank until all the pits were filled.Glass didnt
fit due to excess copper.
I sent them back and they used a grinder to remove all the plating, ruining the cores in process.
I did get a refund for the "WORK" done, but they ruined 2 cores that were impossible to find.
Ive never dealt with a business that was so nasty to its customer.

don't know of a service to fix but "Anvil auto" sells drivers manual mirrors to toss the octopus cable far far away.

You might want to check with D&M Restoration (https://dandmrestoration.com/) in Greenville, SC. They do lots of odd stuff. If they can't do your mirror, they might be able to recommend someone.

You buy several, pull the parts you want or need. Depends what the issue is, depends if the castings even allow the cable to be removed.
