Default Body Problem Areas 69 Grand Prix

May be inspecting a 69 GP for potential purchase soon and owner says body has rust on door and a couple other areas (see pics). She claims trunk, floor pans, body/mounts are ok - of course I will verify and based on other pics I suspect issues. What should I look for in this model? Any known problem areas?

Default '69 - '70 Grand Prix

Oh Boy. That car appears to be one crusty critter. Not sure I'd want to take it on.
Parted a '70, Blue, southern NM car about 15 years ago. It was super rock solid except for a caved in Drivers' Quarter panel. The tub then went to azchevs to be cut up. Very savable car, by the right body man. But it went to various parties to help save their cars.
Probably the same areas will rust, as other '68 - '72 A cars. Behind the rear wheels. The outer wheel house to Quarter lip. Bottom of the front fenders.
Bottoms of inner cowl, where leaf and pine needle debris winds up.
I'd look for a southwestern body, before fixing that one.

Thanks for the insight - It's over an hour drive for me so relying on the limited communication from seller...like pulling teeth. Definitely don't want to waste my time if its a rust bucket...

Looked at at car this morning- every panel minus the fenders had bubbling…definitely a crusty critter. The frame and body underneath was surprisingly clean.

Because the GP used a boxed frame like used on convertibles they also tend towards frame rot behind the front wheels. Otherwise they have the regular A body trouble spots; windshield and rear window channel rot (supercharged by vinyl top option), trunk pan and rear quarters and floor pans. The GP’s typically had less rust in the lower rear corners of the front fenders than typically seen on A body cars.
