Question 1965 tempest Frame mount locations.

Can one install a tempest 66/69 ohc-6 in a 1965 tempest? I have the 66 frame brackets, but how will I locate them on the frame? Any suggestions as to the locating dimensions? Have Fun, DANI10

Thumbs up OHC in a '65 A-Body

Several have been done but I can't say if the Frame Brackets were a direct bolt-in.

All the A-Body Frame Brackets are the same '66-'69. Lay one on the cradle and see if any of the hole line up.
If not I would suggest setting the Engine and Tans in the car to determine the best fitment/placement.

I know it's a PITA but likely the best way to be sure rather than guessing.

Thanks for the info Jeff. The engine dimensions will be very helpful. The thumbnail pictures will also help. I think I will mockup the setup with the engine and transmission in place with motor mounts and frame brackets in place to see what I have to deal with. Cheers and Have Fun. DANI10

Jeff, that picture and dimensions are just sickeningly too neat and clear! You obviously have neat privilege and therefore you should apologize humbly to us oppressed and victimized messy types...
