This is the weatherstrip channel that goes between the roof frame and the roof skin then is spot welded together. I have had no luck with sheet metal shops so I tried restoration shops. They said anywhere from several months to a year before they could make it. I bought some sheet metal and am making my own.

I remember seeing that on a bare shell of a (1980?) t-top body I was using to rebuild my first 1977. Some of the spot welds had broken away and I had trouble getting a 110v spot welder to melt all 3 pieces of metal back together.

Home made weatherstrip channel in place and starting to weld the new roof skin in place. I bought a 240v spot welder and it is working pretty well.

I just used a piece of sheet metal and bent it to the shape I needed. The corners I had to cut the width so it would bend. I used a piece of extra exhaust pipe that I cut and bent to the shape I needed for the corners and bolted it to a table. The corners were the hardest part.

You may want to try this place, they do stuff that's not listed too:

https://www.rustreplace.com/home/196...-1981-firebird

They make general 'stock' sections too. You might be able to use the trunk gutter stuff for what you need, or use it to start modding.

You might be able to chop up something from other models too:
