Rear window motor wiring
Maybe I just missed it, but didn't find any specs in the wiring diagrams in my manual on which wires run to the rear window motor. It didn't work when I had a battery in the car and I was going to try and apply power directly to the wires to see if it will roll up and down so I can get the tailgate down.
I worry I may have issues with the terminals in my fuse panel, so I wanted to put direct power to it. Anyone done this? Or any ideas on how to get the tailgate open otherwise? Doesn't look like there is a a great way to get the cover off unless you can get the tailgate dropped. 1966 Catalina Wagon |

You might be able to jumper the terminals on the dash switch to make it work, sometimes the internal contacts get scorched similar to an old set of points.

So the rear panel does come off even with the door closed. Just took a little work. Then I was able to slide some terminals into the plug on the motor to manually make it go up and down by applying power to the right wire. I’ll get to get a pic for reference on the wire in case someone else is looking down the road.

Wouldn't the Fisher Body Manual have the procedure?
