1966 Grand Prix question

I'm changing my head light switch. Bought a new one marked as a 64-67 GM switch.

Part number on the box is 1995179

Its different to my original switch. My original switch has a loop running from terminal 1 across to terminal 4.

The replacement has a loop running from terminal 3 to terminal 4.

The picture shows my original switch on the LEFT and the replacement is on the RIGHT.

I did install it but I have no dash lights. Everything else seems to work OK.

What should I be looking for?? Thanks all.

How could a switch work for a 64 and 67 when in 67 they offered cornering lights?

Thanks all

Anybody got the CORRECT part number for the switch I need?

That would help as its quite feasible that the correct part number switch might have been used in a Holden over here.

Heybuck: I tried to send you the manual page with part numbers but the email came back as non-delivered. I can send it if you post the correct email.

George
