That eye is wrong. I've seen many. Someone did something to that battery. Look at a battery and you will see.

If you google 1979 Delco tv ad, two different commercials come up
that you can watch. One of them first aired during the 1979 Super Bowl. Both commercials plainly show Delco Freedom batteries with white cases and a blue top. Case closed......done deal.

By the way,I've been in the car repair business since 1976 and I used to sell Delco batteries back then. In 1977, 1978 and 1979 all the batteries on my rack were Delco Freedom batteries, white case blue top. If they offered anything else during those years I never saw it and never sold one. The whole red white and blue thing with Delco started with the
1976 USA Bicentennial. Everything in my shop pertaining to Delco was red white and blue.....my fender covers, my engine analyzer machine, Delco hats etc.

The new improved decals are done, just waiting for the toppers, should be in soon, there were some mistakes in the old decals another guy made, these are as correct as we can be. Get ahold of me here or on my site, there's a thread to post wants. The eye is still in two pc's, you will be impressed. And price will be nice as well. Stay tuned.
