Victor vs. Northwind info?
Anyone ever do a test back to back on these 2 intakes?? Same motor?

I don't run anything from the Dairy Guys presently but I do believe that their High Port Heads and Northwind intake (if properly ported by Dave Bischoff) could make some big power numbers.

Get on SDs website. I believe the Nothwind made more power then the Victor in testing. Not sure on any porting done.

I did. Northwind drives better on the street and chassis dynos more torque in the lower ranges but less HP in the upper ranges than the Victor. On the street the NW feels faster. It was down about 15 HP. Both intakes were port matched and plenums radiused. The Victor ran 2 tenths and a couple MPH faster in the 1/4 mi. The Victor Chassis dynoed in the 470's. HP.
Engine combo was: 462 ci, 306 cfm butler e heads, 264-270 @.050 .630 lift solid roller, 11to1 comp, 3" full exhaust, 3.73 rear, 950 carb, 3780 lbs, went from 11.1's @119/120 with the Northwind to 10.93 @121/122 with the Victor. Your results may vary. Steve

If your running strip only and your set up for a 700 to 800 rpm wide power band then the Victor is faster!

I have a 2" tapered spacer on my Northwind now. I would probably only be able to fit a 1" with the Victor. Might make it a wash. I'd still like to try a Victor someday just to see how it does.

I will be testing a 4150 style Northwind with Pro Systems HP1000 carb against 4500 Victor with Shaker tuned 1050 Dominator in a few weeks on my 474 IA II build with R.A.C.E. ported HP's. Both intakes are ported as well.

I think it will go faster on the track but be a little soft driving on the street, but I'm splitting hairs right now.
