The man needs to pray. Prayers of thankfulness and gratitude.

I have no desire to drive a car that fast.

Guy needs to go to church and say a prayer thanking the man up stairs.

i'm thinking it was an inadvertant throttle hit when it came down after the car came down the first time. listen to the video. it was a quick hit then up

Could very well be Jim. He is lucky to be alive but banged up.

Well said...Tommy should def count his blessings...if his car went fast into the trees it would've been much worse...think that's how Dick Lahaie (sp.) nearly lost his hands when he crashed at the end of Englishtown Raceway Park's shut down area many years ago...

Prayers sent for a speedy recovery for Tommy!

Most likely the wheelie control grabbed it and when it came back down all the power comes in and it bounced it 🤷*♂️

Not knowing much about all the electronics these guys run to get down the track.... are u saying there's a gyro or sensors that read vertical lift and pull power until it back level?
Glad he is "ok" but I'm sure he will have some serious recovery after that. I wish him the best!
As far as the car... I would be done racing after that.. not from fear but from the 6 figures it will take to repair the car..

Yes, they use a Gyro or proximity sensor to measure essentially front end ride height. if it exceeds a predetermined height, it pulls a bunch of power. Usually, if you pedal, once your foot is wide open throttle again there is no timing curve and all of the power is in. If you stab the gas when the front end came down it would’ve bounced the front end
