Remember This is GTO George you are talking about. He doesn't do thing like everybody else. As he says it is all plug and play.

Race car SH_T...........everything come with numbers so if you need a replacement they give you the same item that you had before!
New on the left old on the right.
My aluminum GRP rods were the same, came with a number, I told them the number they looked it up a got me another set the exact same.....plug & play.....kinda!

Reinstalled old main bearings except for no.1 main, dropped crank in. Starting to finally come together.

I just got through installing the main caps and torquing them to 75 ft lbs. (for now), I hate torquing stuff when it cold out, I'm want for warmer weather to finish the torquing of the mains by then I should have my pistons & rods in.

So now that I'm sitting at home I've got plenty of time to work on my Blower engine. I hung the rods today, installed camshaft, timing chain and started fitting the NEW ARP2000 head studs! On a side note I'm also getting my Wifes TA blower motor ready for the streets.

I'm just curious what "hanging the rods" means to you? To me, it's a job for an engine shop- checking that the centerlines of the big/little-ends are precisely parallel in both planes.

Nope, just installing pistons on the rods. New pistons and pins, same rods and crank and bearings.
Today I plan on installing the gapless rings on pistons after checking gap in cylinders.

Hey George,

Can you post the P#s for the ARP2000 studs, I'd like to see if I can get them to work with the DCI V heads.

Thanks,
Ed
