3 speed Trans Oil Capacity
Can someone tell me the oil capacity for a stock 3 speed manual trans. A friend told it was a little over a quart and its not close to the fill opening. Thanks

Should be around 3.5 pints (1.75 quarts).
Found this in a search: https://firstgenfirebird.org/forums/...&Number=269835

Thanks, I saw that too but I am pretty sure my trans is the Dearborn which is different from the saginaw.

The Dearborn heavy duty 3-speed should take 2 quarts.
Either way fill it until the gear oil trickles out of the fill port in the side of the case.

Make sure you use the right oil. You need the one for brass syncros. Not that easy to find these days. I screwed this up on mine and had to dump all the oil.
