When I had a blowthru I would run 20 degrees of timing, 15 to 16 psi in the carb hat, 91 octane and 500ml of -50 washer fluid sprayed thru a nozzle about 3 feet before the carb hat. Seemed to work great, still running the same untouched short block today.

Default 93 octane

Thanks for the reply , Wow that seems like a lot of boost for 91 octane , I was running 14 # on e85 . Ok so I need to find a methanol kit , how do you know if it’s knocking ? Knock sensor on a Pontiac ??

8.75 comp., 12 psi so far 93 octane. I will go to at least 15 psi.
You at 9.5 to 1 might be pushing it at 15 psi.
I bought a snow meth kit, never installed it yet. I do have a real good intercooler now, still air to air.
Jeff Pallazo runs 17 psi on pump gas. Read plugs always,
My timing is locked at 25 degrees.

Reading the plugs, if you turn up the boost a few lbs at a time, make a pull, then pull plugs to read them. Do not just pull 1, some cylinders run leaner than others.

There is a point on the street where is does not matter. No matter what the TV shows say, LOL. There is only so much you can put down on the street with out real good power management. Then it becomes how long do you want to spin for. I am going auto now, but the the stick shift sometimes it go scary. 3rd gear would spin with MT drag radials. when it stays straight it is not bad, when it goes to the next lane it gets the heart pumping hard!!
8psi is a good # for me on the street. 12 was a spin fest.
Problem is you love the sound. More boost the whine/ waste gate and bov get louder, and I like that!! My waste gate dumps down not back into the exhaust.
