64 Tempest Radiator upgrade help
Hi guys,
I converted my 64 Tempest from a 215/3 spd. manual to a Pontiac V8 and TH350. I bought an aftermarket 15.5" core radiator to cool it- my problem is the mounts I have are too small to hold the radiator. The tanks measure 2.5" across, but my old 6 cyl radiator was much narrower-- does a V8 Tempest use a wider radiator mount? Top and Bottom are the same size, so I've got the same issue below. Is there a rubber cushion (Firebird, 70's GTO, etc.) that will staddle the 2.5" tank? Thanks!

The brackets are the same, you just need the correct insulators. Our sponsor should have them available...

Thanks, guys!
My biggest concern is the fact that the upper mount is only 2.5" wide WITHOUT isolators in it. I'm wondering if a 4 core radiator upper mount is wider? Maybe like 3" across... Ccass posted some conversion brackets for the lower ones, so I guess I just need to confirm if there is/is not a wider upper tank mount.
