Default GM Knock sensors

There are quite a few screw in style knock sensors offered by GM based on frequency. Which one is right for a typical Pontiac 400? I bought an MSD Knock alert years ago that only came with one. Could that be the right one for a typical v8?

A .030 over 400 should have a knock frequency of around 5.45 KHz. I'm not well versed in this, but I believe most EFI systems that can utilize a knock sensor will have a tuning "range" of frequencies, not just looking at a specific frequency.

You may find this archived thread from the holley forums helpful as well. It's long winded though.
