Default Ashtray springs on '62

I'm missing the torsion springs on both sides of one of the dash ashtray doors so that it flops open. They appear to be a mirror shaped pair. Is there a source for these?

I tried to attach a photo of what I was describing with the first post, but must I lack those skills, so trying again...

I know you only need the torsion springs but I did find this on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/37406525117...4AAOSwSgdieA2B

I haven't found torsion springs to meet your needs but you can have them custom made - however I'm sure purchasing the ashtray on eBay for $25.00 with the free shipping removing the springs and throwing the rest away would be cheaper than having custom torsion springs made up.

If you can remove the one you have without damage: McMaster Carr has hundreds of little torsion springs. I noticed the minimum # of coils looks like 4. Looks like the stock one is 2. If you can work with a couple extra coils and could match it up, that may be an option.

I have some extra ash trays, I'll see if any of them still have the springs attached.

If you do, that would be great to accompany the horn contact part. Otherwise, that e-bay ashtray is a good find for both springs and the price ok given the hassle of tracking down some certain to work right.

Shipped out today, they can go in a little envelope if I have it.

The one extra ash tray has both springs and I just removed them. Do you just need one pair?

Yes, just one pair. The passenger side has both, but the driver's side is missing both.
