I just pieced this stuff together and thought I'd make a post about it.
(note that I'm not affiliated with midwest muscle car in any way - but he is very helpful if you need these types of things)

Of the 3 below only one is not pictured - the nylon "bathtub style" clip
This holds the upper 1/4 panel molding down in all but the 2 end positions

The clip on the left holds the long belt molding down - need about 20 of these on a catalina - also includes some foam rubber sealant on the upper end.

The one in the middle is a 62 only deal from what I understand and is inserted into the outer slots of the rear trunk panel where the lower anodized aluminum trim piece goes beneath the "PONTIAC" letters - I understand these are not reproduced and hard to find, so in this case perhaps it is easier to make something which fits in the trim and is secured through the trunk panel.
The spring clip on the right retains the front grille trim and also the front and rear positions of the upper 1/4 panel trim. For the front position you will likely need a washer. This auveco kit comes with hex nuts but the factory used 10-24 speed nuts- the speed nuts work better because they are flanged and contact a wider area. Auveco part number AP2744, found at my local body supply store, any better hardware store is likely to have these too.
Hope this is helpful to someone, it would have saved me a bunch of time.
