Nope, same 70-81
That said the 1970 are put together different and have Identifiers, but work the same.
They can be rebuilt with brass bushings, and on Formys I have elongated the slots to let the hood sit a bit lower.

would you mind posting a pic of the slot you're referring to & have you done this due to the warping of these hoods or other reasons (to lower it) ...thx

There are ONLY 2 slots in a Firebird hood hinge.. I have elongated Both towards the Hood, ( Upper side of slots) to allow the hood to set a bit lower. This is somewhat due to warpage, but also to the design on the fiberglass itself.
Afterwards I do a newspaper test on the cowl seal.

I too need some hinges. A local guy has some used ones for $75. But, I see new(or refurbished) ones for about $100 or less.

So, are there certain brands there are not good quality, and some that are ?

I have found trial and error for even new ones with the formula hood.

Bruce is correct. I think we went through three sets of original hinges for the Black Car to find a matched pair that provided the desired fit. His suggestion of slotting the holes is well advised.

It is recommended to keep a fiberglass hood unlatched while in storage so there is less chance of warping the hood.

70 hood hinges have an extra plate welded on them.

You can elongate the holes for steel hoods as well, if you have a weak hinge. It's too bad the spring is under tension with the hood closed.
