Default Permanent editing capability for the owner of a restoration thread?

Would it be possible to allow that?

I started a restoration thread recently and am having issues with my photo hosting service and need to make changes to my posts. I've been having a lot of problems with that recently.

I can think of other times it would be useful to edit posts on a restoration thread for the owner of it too. It just seems like it should be allowed.

I'd sure appreciate it. I project my resto thread will be an ongoing thing here for the next 3 years or so.

I think this belongs in the site suggestions;
honestly the tiny window of time in which you can edit your posts is something that has always bugged me - in part because I often find after the fact that sometimes typos make some of my posts incomprehensible... or at least tricky to understand

Is there a site suggestions area? I didn't see one so I posted it here.
