Was under the car today so took some of the "Norwood" primer pics
this is a 73.....used my Palm pre phone, and there was a LED trouble light there, car way up on lift and the "DRONEmaster" exhaust>>GONE!! The reason there is no upper brake hose bracket, and hose to the rear is because I switched it years ago to a 1980 style on the lower part of the rear frame as I installed a 1980 disc brake 3.42:1 posi at that time. The rubber up there with stripes and GM part numbers is original. I "think" I added that clamp a while ago, as none of my parts cars have clamps on any of them. LAST PIC>> I cant believe I bolted the" DRONEMASTER" to the near perfect rear floor!! I could shoot myself! ( its gone now, holes remain, UGH)

Well today was the Indian Uprising here in Saint Charles IL. Great show for sure, 400 Pontiacs . Thanks Cruzin Tigers Club, I can't wait till next year. It was Great hanging out with a lot of the guys from PY at this show. I have been looking for an opportunity to get a photo of my Blue 70 along with a white car. PY member 3tas4me just happened to park a few cars down from myself and the Super Duty Gang. His 71 is just an outstanding example. So we got a professional photographer to take a few pictures of the two RARE Trans Am's.

Yes, great show and great cars. I like the fact both owners Jeff/Craig are holding onto there cars to help them from falling over from heat. Wow, she was crisp but beats rain any day (right Duane).
We need to get a group picture in someday and maybe next year would be the time ?? |

Brew, a picture would be great, we should have got one this year. Would have been a great time with Uncle Judge showing up and all. I hope that you still have a car next year, and SDD shows his face. The picture with the phtographer was a little hard to come by with out Judge273 being in it. LOL
The car was holding me up after drinking some of Jeff's HIGH OCTANE BLEND..... |

That was a great time hanging under the tent with nice cool brew. Too bad we could not have done that on Saturday! Gotta love the high octane!

I shudder to think what gas must go for in Switzerland, it probably costs those poor guys €10 just to start them up. Always good to see Brewster Firebirds, though.

here in the Netherlands, we pay € 1,53 for standard 95-octane shell fuel a litre,
that comes down to $ 1.99 USD for 0,22 gallons of fuel, so, $ 9.00 USD a GALLON. a full fuel tank iirc is about 20 gallons ?, that would make a $ 180.00 USD for a FULL TANK. compared to the Netherlands, Swiss is a cheap place to tank! 0,22 Gallons (1 litre) is 1.590 Swiss Francs, $ 1.58 USD, thus making $ 7.15 USD a GALLON, $ 143.00 USD a 20 Gallon full tank..... so compared to YOU GUYS, where i believe the average gas price at the moment is $ 2.54 a GALLON, making a full tank about 20 gallons a price of $ 50.80 USD, a difference of 3 times! in other words, you guys can drive 3 times MORE! on the same amount of money spent on GAS. you can get 60 gallons for the amount we need to pay 20 gallons for! yeah, it ain't fun over here, especially if needed to tank 98-octane / or add octaneboost to the car, if the engine is specified to that point (i have to ).... so for the sake of this > please guys, drive as much out of your cars as you can! to put it in even worse numbers.......taking an avarege of 12,7 miles a gallon for a v8 fuel consumption in this class, that means you we drive 250.40 Miles on a single tank, and for the same amount of money spent, you guys drive 751.20 Miles...... that makes respectively an average fuel consumption for the SAME car over here, a consumption of 4,2 miles a gallon! it's loony!!! 1970 Formula 400
Making it drivable. Just put in new glass, rubber. Have most of the parts. I am looking for a rear bumper.
Also, I know this is the wrong Yellow, but does anyone know how far off this is from the GoldenRod? I plan on getting it repainted, the place that was supposed to paint it messed it up and lost alot of my parts. I just need to get it running now. Last edited by mxrandy; 09-30-2010 at 02:55 AM. |

Always hard to judge color from dig pics on the net, but I would say it looks pretty close to Goldenrod to me...
