Default Friend's friend scored a '71 3-speed Judge

Not sure how long he's had it, but thought you'd dig this.

Sorry, folks, an innocent posting caused an uproar with the owner. Apologies to him, and thanks to the Mods.

You ruined the "cough" story......

"I have a zero mile 71 Judge. As a child of four can plainly see, this car has been hermetically sealed since it's purchase. It's been kept in a time capsule in Funk and Wagnalls' barn since 1972. NO ONE knew the contents of this capsule, but me, in my mystical and borderline divine way, ascertained it was there having never before seen this rare barn find."

That color would most likely be Laurentian Green, Gary.

It's tropical lime.

Tropical lime... I like it. One of new favorite colors.

did anyone keep the picture? I have a tropical lime 71 and it didn't look anything like the picture. I guess the lighting on the picture could have a lot to do with it.

Diego, I just wanted to say thanks for taking down the photo of the '71. I don't know if it was an uproar, but I was hoping to hold off a bit before posting some photos. 68bird400HO knows this car well and is correct, it's Tropical Lime.

The car was discussed here about 5 years ago or so, but has remained off the road. I'm in the process of doing a thorough cleaning/preservation of the car and would like to have The Judge back on the road in early June.

Like several of you know, the car saw some Wisconsin winters and spent some time outdoors. It has rust, dents, and faded paint. But, it's complete and has its born-with components.

I appreciate the enthusiasm and I share the excitement. The opportunity to own a '71 Judge is a dream I never thought would come to fruition.

I'll leave you with a teaser photo until I get it back on the road. Have a super weekend, guys.

Jeff

Sorry for spoiling it for you! And Jason meant no harm - he's a good guy!

Per the color in the photo, it sure looked more Limekist than Tropical Lime, but monitor, photo, and time all probably played a factor in the loss of its vibrancy.

It looks like a prime candidate for MCACN. I can get in touch with the promoter if you're interested in showing it there.

Welcome aboard, Jeff. We will ALL be looking forward to more photos and information on your Judge when you are comfortable showing it off.
