I posted this question in another area of the board and have not received a reply so i figured i'd
try here. When i close the hood on my Goat the corners by the cowl area stay raised. In the past to solve this problem
i just put in a pair of hinges with springs. I would like to know if this problem is the Hinges or the Springs. I have come across a pair of new springs and i am wondering
if this will solve my problem
Thanks
Gene

don't know about goats....same condition with my 69 firebird just required adjustment of the hinges where mounted to fenders...loosen bolts just enough to get movement when closing hood....if doing it by yourself, try not to loosen too much at first.....take your time and play with it

I have the same problem, on passenger side when the hood is closed right at the hinge location it's 1/4 " up. Perhaps lowering it will help..Id does close fairly nice and when I push down on the hood it doesn't go all the way down SO I don't THINK I CAN DO ANYTHING!
