Is the same black paint used for the underside of floor pans and trunk as for the frame?

Thanks,
Ken

I am currently restoring an Arizona based 66 GTO. Assembled in California. It has the original floor pan coatings in tack. It is not black. Almost a grey type color. I have yet to find anyone that can tell me the original coating used etc. Anyone? I want to make sure that when restoration is complete I use the most exact processes. Any information would be appreciated.

Scott Tiemann is the man. He has reformulated paints for all those restoration applications. That would be a good question to send him at askscottteimann@pontiacenthusiast.com. Note there are three T's in the address.
