I agree with you on this but my machinest says to go forged. Keeps giving me a hard time about it when i tell him i would use the arma steel crank.. Have you ever had the crank Magged to make sure its not cracked after all the abuse ??
The way i look at it is my 4yl has a cast Arma steel crank in it and it lives when i have it set for 600hp wich is like 150hp per cyl. As soon as i turn it up to 200hp per cyl it starts to cracks. So if the v8 crank is as strong as the 4cyl crank technically it should hanld 150hp per cyl which is like 1200hp.. Just my thought process anyway...

What kind of power were you at when you ran that crank with the blower?

If he gives a price i will see how i feel about it.

I dont see the short snout being a problem either..

Thanks

I'm still running it Charlie. Maybe around 6-700-HP but I've got better

timming and boost control now and em getting ready to spay it with

some nitros too. I took your advice on the inserts in the head bolts

I'll let you know how every thing works. Should be a blast. LOL

Thanks! Mine is 533038! In the original GM box. Almost too nice to hide inside a motor.

I probly will turn the boost up first before the nitros.
I figure i'll play around with different things first.
Just by turning the pullies around it should go back
to 20 pounds of boost and for that I'll have to run race gas I would think.
Like I say I'll do some playing to see witch way I'll go. I'll let ya know
I'll give ya a call on the phone some time, I think I still have your #

GT.
