Safe-T-Trac
I have a 69 posi rear. There is slack between the axels and the chunk. Which metal would be softer, or wear out first. It would sure be nice to replace the axels instead of the unit. Opinions please?

both the side gears and the axle splines are hardened, incase one is actually failing, they wear about the same...the axle bearing surface is just case-hardened and is usually what fails unless you break and axle with torque...after market axles are always a good idea if your putting horsepower down.
